important question, is pineapple SUPPOSED to burn your mouth a little and leave it feeling tingly and numb? My coworker said I have a pineapple allergy but my mom said no, pineapples are just like that

I’ve always kind of hated pineapple because of this. Even though it’s tasty I don’t enjoy the numbness afterwords

asked my PT about how POTS could be affecting my symptoms and watched her get really interested in exactly what my symptoms were and. her 14 year old daughter has all the same symptoms I do, right down to the specific fruit ‘allergies’ that happened in the exact same order. I sent her all the info/advice/research I’ve compiled over the years and I’m feeling a very powerful protective emotion about a 14 year old I’ve never met.

I'm allergic to strawberries, which is awful because I developed the allergy when I was around 19 or so? So, I know what strawberries taste like :(

Well, my sister had a similar experience with pineapple, so I tend to avoid pineapple, just in case

Last night, I unknowingly ate a slice of cake that had pineapple bits in it. And I had a mild allergic reaction 🙃

Luckily, since I'm at the rehab, they were able to give me allergy meds and get the reaction to stop

However, I now know for certain that I am allergic to pineapple as well 😭😭😭

Okay whats the point of putting ingredient labels on something when you're just gonna say 'fruit juice concentrate for color' and not specify which fruit

Man, do not mess with food allergies.

My dumb ass last night decided to have a couple of pieces of pineapple. I'd only ever had mild reactions to it before, and I *love* grilled pineapple.

Anyhow spent my night and morning in hospital being treated for a severe allergic reaction. I am now Very sore and Very tired and I cannot say it was worth it this time. I thought someone was gonna have to tell my parents oh cause of death, an itty bitty piece of fruit.

My pineapple allergy isn't anaphylaxis extreme but I get itchy and warm and sleepy. Like I won't be able to stop my body from shutting down. It's involuntary sleep mode
