A second set of tasters at Maui Brewing in Kihei, HI. Clockwise from top left, Coconut Hiwa Porter (3 of 4), Maui Saison (3), Black Rock Lager (3), Pineapple Mana Wheat (3), Lahaina Town Brown (3), and Maui Cruzah Malt Liquor (3). No particular standouts of the set, but all good for the style. Not completely surprising, but relatively low ABVs on most of these (and Maui’s other offerings), which makes sense given the need for refreshing, lighter beers in a tropical climate. Obviously the Pineapple Mana Wheat and Coconut Hiwa Porter see relatively wide distribution, and both have nice subtle additions of pineapple and coconut, respectively.
