16. What is your best piece of advice for writing angst scenes?
I LOVE angst. Cannot get enough of it. It is 100% my jam.
What I will back away from is… unrelenting, unapologetic, gratuitous angst.
Angst solely for the point of angst.
I just… yeah, I don’t do that.
I think there needs to be balance. Small moments of humour or reflection that give everyone (the characters and readers) a little break.
I think that also helps to serve as a contrast. I’m not adverse to sad/bittersweet endings but I do also feel there needs to be a form of justice in a good angst story. The characters need to grow and develop. Learn from their situation.
I don’t necessarily need a happy ending (though ‘earn your happy ending’ is my favourite trope) but if the whole story is just the universe doing everyone a dirty, then I do tend to feel a tad robbed.

I got some washi tape and now I’ll happily struggle to do something with it. Simple background was supposed to be a simple start, but I kinda messed that up… But at least I got a knife, so next attempts will for sure go better! :D

@dominikadecember replied to your text post: pineapples, how effective would they be as weapon?? how effective would they be in cannons? pineapple football :D omg now THIS is my kind of content. Okay well they will be great weapons by using them like maces. I think they could make effected blows if you swing hard enough. Same goes with cannons, adding how fadt they will go plus multiple pineapples, they could def put a number on someone. I mean just with the spikes could hurt someone's eyes. Def one of my top weapons to use in a desert island.
