These burgers with pineapple in them will give your taste buds a cool summer twist. When you mix the sweet and sour pineapple with the spicy jalapeo and the salty beef, you get a mouthwatering flavor explosion. Great for your next summer barbecue!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup diced pineapple. 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped. 1 jalapeo pepper, seeded and minced. 1 tsp ground cumin. 1 tsp paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of Swiss cheese. Lettuce leaves. Sliced tomatoes. Mayonnaise. Ketchup.
Instructions: Ground beef, diced pineapple, red onion, minced garlic, cilantro, minced jalapeo, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl. Combine well. Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty. Set your grill to medium-high heat and oil the grate so that food doesn't stick. The burger patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. Put a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking and let it melt. While the burgers are cooking, use the grill to lightly toast the buns. Cover both halves of each bun with mayonnaise and ketchup. This will help you put the burgers together. On the bottom of the buns that have mayo on them, put a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. Place the cooked burger patties on top of the tomato and lettuce. Top them with melted Swiss cheese. Add the ketchup-covered bun tops to finish the burger. With your favorite sides, serve your Summer Twist Burgers and enjoy!
