When I, while talking about LGBT Warrior Cats ships, start mentioning canon couples, it's not to say that the age gaps would be okay IRL. It's to point out the fact that the series has clearly established that, when cats are warriors, age gaps don't matter much anymore. Examples?
BrambleSquirrel has a bigger age gap than MothPool.
PineLeopard has a huge, known age gap, but they were both consenting adults. RavenBarley is hated for the same thing, despite the fact that Ravenpaw is an adult and we don't know Barley's age.
And a friendly reminder that Thrushpelt was a young warrior when Bluestar was a kit, yet the ship isn't hated by... Literally anyone I've ever seen
Anyways, if both the cats are adults (or similar in age), just leave people be and let them ship in peace. (and even then just leave people alone jfc they're caaats we're all old enough to know when a ship would be bad irl but is fun in fiction)
