Hello! Could you write something about the reader being carried by Pinhead (in DbD trial) and managing to wiggle out, but she accidently pulls out some of the pins from his head, like maybe they get caught on her clothing or something. And the reader feels really bad about it? Like stops to search for them and pick them up? Thank you!

Kate Denson was a lifesaver. No, really, her trick for wiggling out of a killer’s grasp had saved your ass so many times, especially once you combined it with your own tactic that made you even harder to carry.

That doesn't mean that you always get out, but it’s enough for you to feel pretty confident when you’re about to be picked up.

The Cenobite was slowly but surely taking you to the nearest hook, and you were doing your damnedest to make sure he didn’t get there. You threw all of your weight into struggling, kicking his chest and slamming your fists against his back.

Eventually, you manage to hit him in the right (or wrong) spot, and he lets out his typical airy breath of complaint at your escape.

But something went wrong, and either your arm or your clothing caught a few of his pins, pulling them out of his head and tumbling to the ground along with your body.

Any thoughts of escape disappeared when you heard them hit the ground, suddenly feeling incredibly guilty.

“Shit, I’m so sorry,” You immediately fall to the ground, peering at it through the darkness for the pins. You hadn’t thought they were too small, but now that they were out of his head they seemed impossible to find.

He doesn’t answer, only watching as you pick them up and place them in your palm.

Once you think you’ve gotten them all, you stand back up, smiling sheepishly at him. You have no idea how long that took, and no generators popped while you were busy. You could very easily pretend you hadn’t been preoccupied just now, wasting precious time.

He continues to stare at you as you hold them out to him, his face unmoving from before. You shuffle your weight, uneasy by this exchange (or lack of).

“Don’t… don’t you want them back?” You ask, nervously tugging on your shirt.

He wordlessly holds out one of his pale hands, palm open to you. You stare at it for a moment before gingerly placing the pins in his palm. You continue to watch as he closes his fist around them, the pins disappearing from his grasp, but not appearing back in his head. There isn’t any blood where they were yanked out of his head, only holes where they once were.

He nods silently at you, and you understand his meaning.

You can go.

You do, knowing that he is only giving you a head start, not at all letting you escape him.
