Halloween AU where Hermann is the ghost of the old Gottlieb mansion. Newton, with his usual lack of self preservation, visits the mansion on a dare and stays the night. He's kinda scared but he copes with a running commentary like the ghost is real and can actually hear him. Hermann's been kind of lonely so he actually just sits around and listen to Newt prattle on.

Wait dude, imagine like the story possibilities. Like the outsider is just so used to appearing and floating and generally ignoring gravity that he forgot how to walk. And one day Daud or Corvo says 'walk with me' and he boy does he try to humor them. It's just he doesn't know how to work with physics and gravity and for a while he just floats a little along the ground, but apparently that attracts attention. So he actually puts his feet on the ground and try to figure out how the center of- pt1

- gravity works for regular people. But his feet keep sinking into the ground because he’s too busy trying to work out how to bob convincingly. Eventually he gives up and decides to manifest an actual physical body, but he has absolutely no muscle memory of how to walk. So now Daud is stuck trying to teach the outsider how to walk without actually touching him.
