The Early 2000’s marked a shift in language around guns for women from family values to self-empowerment. DuraCoat covers were first marketed in 2000 by Lauer Custom Weaponry (LCW). LCW is owned by Steve Lauer and is one of the biggest businesses in Chippewa Falls, WI. They invented DuraCoat after years of trial-and-error. Lauer describes DuraCoat as, “A spray-on protective coating for all types of firearms. It requires no baking or preheating.” It allows people to put almost any graphic or color on their guns. DuraCoat allows guns to be endlessly aesthetically customizable. It allowed people to connect to their firearms with a sense of creative authorship and “pimp-my-ride style pride. You can have an AR-15 that looks like it's designed by Prince. In the 2000’s Blogs and Pinterest pages filled with DIY DuraCoat tips. Gun Manufacturers noticed this trend and began producing their own pinked out pistols. (at Boulder, Colorado)

i can’t pick one character tbh because i wanna know more about nearly everyone?? so i’m gonna go with zwei bc he’s a Good Boy and i love him
