Making Rose Water Items needed: - rose petals - strainer - cheese cloth - dark reciprocal (store rose water) - container (to strain rose water into; I use a measuring cup) - large pot with lid - measuring cup - funnel - water - UNINTERUPTED TIME Step 1: Collect rose petals (late May is usual a good harvest time. When foraging for your petals, gently grasp at the back of the bud and run your fingers over the petals, be mildly firm. If no petals willingly come off, move on to the next bud!); Step 2: using a strainer put 3/4 cup of rose petals into it and rinse off the petals. Using your hands gently swish the petals in the running water; Step 3: in a large pot, put 1.5 cups of water and the 3/4 rose petals (or enough water to just cover the petals).
