They still need proper, full art, but they are a type of Pinnae dragon. Pinnaes are mammalian 4 legged dragons made by Pinna, they are charactized by their dense fur and occasionally reflective pattern markings on said fur and wing skin, large ears and noses, two keratinous horns and a keratinous tail spike. Only one species can "breathe fire", that being the major pinnae dragon.
Lynx dragons are only a filler name since I haven't given them much attention. They are a flightless variety like the 'tank beast' but are not a result of human breeding like in the TBs case.
They are larger than lynxes, probably being closer to a cougar for some of the big individuals.
I think im going to make their wings smaller and I forgot the horns in this really old drawing.
They are very quiet on their feet and typically ambush prey. They usually go after the numerous deer in Midonia. They will also hunt other ungulates and many farm livestock like cows and sheep. Occasionally they will also take down sophonts including Humans, Nidus and young Eutes. I may have them change their coat colours through the seasons, becoming white and spotty to blend into the snow in winter.
They are popular as hunted game for their fur, that's for sure.
The Cane siblings, aka Azaiah, Xavier, Alexandria, Saria, and Ailbe all owned their own as they were gifts from an aristocrat to the Midonian Monarchy. While all of them would end up leaving Midonia one way or another, I think the only one who could actually bring theirs with them was Ailbe? She was married to the Superior (queen) of Ishida who gladly allowed the exotic pet under her roof. Azaiah's likely died at some point but he wasn't very heartbroken. He never got attached to it. He did however have it skinned to line one of his cloaks which his sisters though as wrong and terrible since it was technically his pet even if he didn't want it. He didn't really get the fuss... especially since they probably had Lynx fur in some of their clothes.
Each Lynx was very very spoiled. They were a line bred by that aristocrat to begin trying to domesticate them, so their temperment was quite good. By all means though they were still wild animals.

If you dont include the Gods themselves, then out of all the dragon species the largest is the almost extinct people that once fed off of Exitiums divinity: The Dragonfolk
They are a type of divine thing, like Griffins and Humonculi; who don't function like a mortal thing but they aren't Gods. A divine is a good term I suppose. Unlike other divine however they can reproduce.
After Exitium was almost killed and went into dormancy, their population dipped down from around 100 individuals down to a mere 10.
Even before that their population took a massive hit after a parasite that looked like golden flecks ravaged their bodies. They, and their sister species, the Draken (Known in 'modern' culture as the First Drakes) could not remove these scale parasites through fire nor picking them off themselves. Exitium for this reason relented into allowing a human population under his rule. The humans were small and dexterous enough to pull each parasite from under the scales of their dragon lords.
There are only a handful of these giants left, ones that have survived the ages through finding pockets of magic to feast upon. On the rare occasion, a Dragon will return to its homeland of Aiman to lay an egg after storing up immense energy- enough to last them the process and enough to supply its single young with enough yolk to last them until their first flight.
They are a rather typical dragon in a lot of ways. They carry pyrokinesis but some do have other forms of magic much how other folk have many types of blessings by their gods that have carried through their bloodlines. They also have a tendancy towards hoarding and once they lived very luxurious lives when they reigned over what was once Enkavaima (The territory that was taken over by the Anemoians)

Design wise, I'm thinking of shrinking their heads a bit, making them a tad smaller and making their wings look like oversized an albatross' wings. I also want to change their markings to look closed to an albatross mixed with an orca. Something something metaphors and symbolism

As for ANIMALS though, the largest is the Major Pinnae dragons. They are about the size of a tiger if you dont count their tails or wings- males being 5 ft from head to tail base and the females upwards of 7.5 ft They are the apex predator of Anemoi, and Pinna's favourite creation. They have reflective wings and stripes they use both in complex hunting habits and mating rituals
They can spit out a Pyrophoric chemical that allows them to breathe fire in a sense. This chemical acts like napalm and sticks to things. The fire is difficult to put out without the use of water to dilute it, as the fuel will just re-ignite in the presence of air and water vapour until its burnt up.

Grigora Dragons
a kind of Pinnae dragon that really prove to the Fates why they need to be very specific when they want a god to make a specific animal and why its probably not a good idea to tell said god about old myths involving the animal.
This is an attempt by Pinna to make a lagomorph based on a vague description given by the fates.
Theyre small dragons, being the size of a hare. They mostly eat plant matter and roots. They are highly territorial animals as well and live in burrows with one male and a group of females and their babies. Offspring are mature enough to leave after 3 months. They are prolific breeders and are commonly hunted for their lean meat by both animal and people alike. They can be found all over Anemoi and parts of Gix and Yggdrasil. They are invasive in Midonia and Ishida.
They dont fly very high or fast but its an effective way of escaping a predator

OH MAN- man thats a LOT
Theres a lot but I guess the best place to start is the Gods. Its a bit late when im writing this so expect some typos! Im also leaving out a little bit of information and details as I plan to write a book at some point. A lot of stuff will also be in future posts since Spectember has just started!

Before gods was the world as we know it, before a catastrophe happened and a megalomaniac god destroyed the world and left it shattered and barren. In his wrath, his wife, who had domain over fate was split into three after she killed him. He still resides and watches over the world but in a lesser, useless form. The fates would care for their son and watch the world begin to repair itself from scratch. They would push along time and adjust things as needed to nurture the world back to health.
Gods are pretty similar to Greek gods, in the sense that they have domain over certain things. They all have different powers, abilities, and ranking in their hierarchy. The eldest gods are Athos and Rryme, respectively Stone and Water. They came out of the earth first. There was also Alpha, who would later split into two gods that would rule over the afterlife and be worshipped by a war mongering kingdom.
Later, the God of fire would crawl out of a mountain and be a bit of a homewrecker between Rryme and Athos. Rryme picked Exitium, the fire god instead of Athos as Athos did not want to share her affection.
Before Exitium would rise though, Rryme and Athos' existence would make the God of Chaos, Chao and the God of Souls and Nature, Shen.
Exitium and Rryme would go on to have two children, Eurus and Pinna. I believe around this time as well is when one of the Gods that Alpha splits into creates humans and gives them to the gods as worshippers.
Exitium and Athos would fight from time to time, and their fighting scarred and shaped the land. Land would rise and fall from the giants fight. Eventually, Exitium started to get greedy. He tried to expand his territory into the land Shen took after. Shen wore Exitium down and Athos sprung to defend Shen who would die if they kept fighting. They took their fighting across the land, causing ichor to spill across the coast of Athos' land and up the volcanoes s of Exitiums land. This is where Exitium was 'killed', impaled on his own sword and left to be sealed away in the volcanoes crater that was once the fire gods throne
When Exi was sealed away, the Gods thought he was dead including Rryme. Rryme became so upset with Athos that she caused the ocean to swell and stir, resulting in mass casualty in humans and coastal animals. She disapeared for a long time, leaving her young gods Eurus and Pinna.
Athos would take the two young gods in. Eurus would have a terribly relationship with him due to his strictness and training. Not only that but Athos saw Exitiums rage in Eurus. This resulted in Eurus being kicked out after he accidentally hurt Shen.
Pinna would excel though, and would prove himself worthy of his fathers old throne. Pinnas story is long and I dont want to spoil too much about him because I might be making a story about him soon!
These gods are the ones that would focus on the creation of animals and plants. There were many other gods that came and went as small, young gods would often be eaten by the larger ones as they considered them parasites and trespassers. Rryme, Athos, Exitium and Shen would gain so much power that they were immortal to usual means of death, and could only be killed by weapons forged by their creation. (eg. the sword Exi would be impaled on) Pinna would eventually gain enough power to be considered a main god and would take over Exitiums throne over Enkavaima. (and later rename it Anemoi)
The fates would suggest creations for the gods to make, or create them on their own. Having the powerful gods make them was a lot easier and safer then making their own as if they screwed up the creation of an animal then it would become a soulless, corrupted thing akin to a weak god.
Ill focus on dragons specifically because thats what the ask is about but they are not the only animals made by gods. Some are even made by gods that did not stick around long due to being killed by other gods (such as Geiver. She made Plains Beast, a domesticated horse alternative)
Dragons-
Dragons are split into 3 categories and mostly reside in Anemoi, with some living in Ishida. Not many live further then that without human intervention.
Old Dragons
Drake
Wyvern
Pinnae
I have not talked much about Old Dragons like at all but they were the original creation of Exitium. He made a limited number of them. They were huge and looked like typical western dragons (albeit very colourful). They were also sentient and had complex lives and relationships. Like Template drakes (see drakes), they lived off magic. They survived past Exitiums death but in very few numbers. They live in remote places were gods don't reside as thats where they can feed off the magic of the land without being hunted by gods or humans that wish to take power for themselves through ritual dragon hunting.
Drake are made by Exitium and are older then humans. They are high varied in shape, enviroment, lifestyle and all have venom. The first drakes were sentient like humans but died off when Exitium was sealed and weak. Some are domesticated. They can be highly derived. None of them have wings but instead all of them have decorative quills over their backs in a "V" shape
Wyverns are Rrymes take on dragons. They are fish that have been heavily modified with the Fate, Esse's suggestions. They are very weird........ Probably the most derived animals from their original form (Colourful tropical fish originally made by Rryme) They can fly and are amphibious.
They were not made until after Exitium was dethroned.
Pinnae are made by Pinna as he grew in power and took over Enkavaima. They are mammal like, warm blooded animals that come in many sizes. They have large membranous wings and are covered in rough fur. Many have lived among humans for a long time but none are domesticated. The Major Pinnae (usually refered to as just Pinnae) is the largest and hunt the Anemoian Megafauna which still need to be designed.
