This "easy" mermaid pattern is a labor of love... I really wanted to make a bunch of these but I DEFINITELY need to adjust this pattern. Just basically a sketch someone uploaded and added estimated instructions. Also, this project has made me realize that my fancy ass sewing machine has made me lazy. My hand sewing skills are basically non existent at the moment. Definitely need to work on that.

So I read a thing on pintrest that made this sound super easy.... please tell me where I've gone wrong. The foreground is too dark and outta focus, but to expose it more blows out the lights, at least you get the idea that it's heart shaped.

Well I'm a moron. I asked my toddler what he wanted to be for Halloween. He said, Edward from Thomas. Well great. I think the store bought costumes are silly - especially the Thomas costume. So now the pressure is on. Make my kid the most kick ass costume that he'll never wear. Pintrest fail
