#myweekinpictures 23 December 2020 A surreal closing to what has been a year of writing on the walls in its own poop level crazy. I'd say things can't get any worse, but then when has that ever been true? Been looking into dictation with some fervour, and I think it's going to take as my preferred way of drafting. I talk faster than I type, also I think in my advancing age I may have become one of those arseholes who likes the sound of their own voice. Either way if you're keen to find out about it Monica Leonelle has an assortment of books on the subject. the most renowned of which being How to Train Your Dragon. We watched #Spell, it's a standard sort of horror film format, black-centric folky horror which was refreshing, we enjoyed the hell out of it. - totally worth a watch. Been baking, brewing gingerbeer, and revisiting @neilhimself 's masterclass. Which if you haven't done yet, is wonderfully enriching. I got all tarted up to do a thing, and after 8 months got to wear the new tie I got specifically for the purpose. And now, on this, the night before the night before Xmas I'm feeling pretty dang festive thank you very much. Today more formatting, touching up and sanding the sharp edges off all the Bite-sized Horror books from @pugnaciouspress. Super excited to see all this madness in print. Photo is of the newly formatted frightmask "badvert" from Poisoned Candy Bite-sized Horror for Halloween. I remember being so utterly ratted when we put that book together in 2018. What an insane time. Seeing as the world seems to be burning down around our ears, we figured this would be the perfect time to get married. There were bigger plans in place, drunken shenanigans aplenty, a full-on tear through Stokercon, but with things being the way they are - we were most thankful to just have a moment to tie the knot in our own very mippa way. It's a nice day for a plague wedding. #mippachronicles 💀Social distancing and our Unholy Matrimony💀 we understand the importance of isolation given the rampant spread of COVID-19 so our wedding consisted of 4 people including us. We had cake and coffee in a wonderful cafe owned by our even more wonderful witnesses, the cafe was closed to the public. We don't intend leaving the house unless/until we have to or when we return to work next week.
