✈️ FLIGHT DELAY ✈️ . Wouldn’t it be nice if books always launched perfectly and on time? But like airplanes, sometimes they get delayed and all the folks who bought tickets are left gloomily wondering what went wrong. . In this case, it was a backlog at the printer that put production of the SWIFT hardcovers behind a few days. So today it’s launching in e-book format — thus this lovely repost of @readingbee.444’s pic — but the limited edition hardcovers won’t be shipping for another week or two. Alas! . That means I won’t be holding my virtual launch for SWIFT until 9/3, to give printed copies a chance to wing their way to the lovely readers who preordered them. DO YOU LISTEN TO PODCASTS? 🎧 If so, what was the first one you discovered, and what are your favorites? The first one I listened to was Tim Clare’s writing podcast “Death of 1000 Cuts,” but when I was still obsessed with Star Wars I enjoyed several eps of the brilliant podcast “What The Force” and I’ve also had fun listening to “Stuff You Should Know” and “Stuff You Missed in History Class,” among others. There’s so many great podcasts to choose from! 🎧 I love being on podcasts too, especially bookish ones. So when host Stephen Hurley invited me to talk about SWIFT on the Canadian Launch Podcast, I was delighted to accept!
