Hi! I readed your comic "Phantom in the mirror" 5 years ago and I wonder did you seen Gabriela Epstein Danny Phantom Graphic Novel? Did there was some similar part for you to your comic or even your second part which never come was similar to "Glitch in the time"?
Thank you for reading Phantom in the Mirror! :D
I've heard of that comic! Personally, I think that "A Glitch in Time" is very different from "Phantom in the Mirror."
I don't think that my fancomic would even be a blip on the radar in a sea of fancomics made by the Phandom. I don't think it would have much influence on the official graphic novel version.
While I haven't really looked too in depth at the graphic novel, I have skimmed it and it's very different from Phantom in the Mirror.
PITM is somewhat slow paced, dark and foreboding while AGIT is a world hopping and more light hearted with occasional serious moments. I think if there were similarities, it's due to both drawing upon Danny phantom lore and fanlore.
I personally would not redeem Vlad the way they did, I just think that he would need a whole season arc. He'd avoid acknowledging his screw ups since his character is about how he never truly grew up or took accountability for his own actions. Even in the Ultimate Enemy with the time skip and loss of his powers, he was willing to kill Danny when he claimed to have immense regret for how things ended up.
And I think that Dark Danny's anger would be more towards Clockwork than anything else. In PITM, Dark Danny wanted to destroy the world that Clockwork ruined his life over, forcing him to intervene so he can kill him and rule the timeline.
As for the sequel to Phantom in the Mirror, I still have interest in making it, I just don't have the time currently since I'm working on my webtoon.
It would called "Phantom in the Paradox" and it would follow two different Danny's. One the current series Danny who finds basically everything from season 3 has been erased. His parents don't know he's Danny Phantom, his ice powers are gone and the whole Phantom Planet debacle never happened. Something has gone wrong with the timeline. Someone has changed it.
The second Danny would be from the future. His ghost powers are gone, Vald is dead and the ghosts have all disappeared. He is no longer burdened with the role of being Danny Phantom and is well into his twenties. But this is not all that it seems.
I would heavily involve Nocturne, the ghost of sleep and return Dark Danny who still has a grudge against Clockwork.
So yeah, I think "A Glitch in Time" is more a response to the consistent popularity of Danny Phantom and how it's concept has endured. I don't see much similarity between it and PITM since they are so different in tone and characterization.
