the lingerbeest used to be just one character in Pitmedden, but I realized it may be more fun if they're more a category of the Not-Here Being so heavily reliant on the imaginations and dreams of children, they're the sort of mix and match of animals that you'd find a child drawing.

A little bit of a test piece w/ Teddy while I’m getting used to procreate ^^
I blinked, and now I have this. I organized my current Pitmedden soundtrack playlist into vague categories that I think make sense. I eventually want to start figuring out which instruments I'm drawn to the most for the theming.. Most of its folk or folk-adjacent I have really specific reasons for a lot of these songs, and honestly, a lot of them are probably subject to change because I get sick of songs frequently (especially instrumentals,, dear lord I'm a picky mother fucker) Anyway, this is vaguely in plot order (like, so vaguely it's not even funny)

Billie grounds Cricket, he's always so amped up and twitchy, always needing to be the loudest and attention grabbing in the room. But with Billie especially, he doesn't feel that need, they match each other's energy and banter, but it never feels like competition. On the flip side Billie gets to be softer around Cricket, she has such a singular driving passion in her that more often than not gives her a sort of one-track mind tunnel vision. He pulls her out of that, to live more in the moment and to just enjoy each others company To say they cant get on each others nerves would be a lie, they're way too alike in some ways, but there's always that underlying sense of ease that brings them right back to each other
