Steve and Eddie flirt with each other through games of Heads Up Seven Up in high school. This is so cute and gave me butterflies. GO READ!

"Steve’s eyes are shut tight, head buried in his arms, breathing his own warm breath back into his lungs as he waits. Steve gives him a smile that's sly enough to make Tommy feel like an idiot for saying it. For giving up something damning and getting shit-all in return, just Steve grabbing a fistful of his sleeve and pulling him toward the door. "Let's watch it." Steve kisses Tommy. It's a joke, it doesn't mean anything. There isn't an explanation for what happens after that.

He helps Uncle Wayne move into a new house, he spends hours in the hospital reading to Eddie, and he even keeps the Corroded Coffin boys company. He's getting to know Eddie really well while Eddie's out cold.
