derek hale

Feelings About Character: Derek Hale is so fucking important to me. I would walk through fire for Derek Hale. I would kill a man for Derek Hale. He's just great and I love his character so much. My favorite thing is that he just. keeps. going. In the face of everything he sincerely tries his best. Was he a good alpha? No. But dammit did he try to just do what he thought was right. And he has lost so much and he deserves so much more.

Ships: Sterek, Draeden, Dira

Non-romantic OTP: Derek and Scott working together and trusting each other :')

Unpopular Opinion: I think it is so ridiculously unrealistic how much shit they keep dragging Derek through. Like I feel like it is a constant, "What else can we do to make Derek's life a living hell? Oh! I know! Let's kill his betas, bring back his sister to take her away, and have him in another relationship that ends with him being tricked!!!" No. Let's not.

One thing I wish happened in canon: While I didn't think he was a good alpha, what I would have loved from the show was to have Alpha Derek and Alpha Scott in a pack dynamics scenario. I would love Isaac, Jackson, Erica, and Boyd still around as Derek's pack and Scott with his and having to deal with that tension. And I would have loved to see Derek develop as an alpha.
