Your kids will LOVE these Mozzarella Dough Pizza Scrolls in their lunchboxes! They’re also great for picnics and parties!
Pizza Scrolls (Vegan) Dough: 2 cups Strong Baking Flour (I used unbleached & organic whole grain flour) 2/3 cup Water, lukewarm 1/2 pack of Instant Dried Yeast 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup 1/2 teaspoon Salt Directions: Add the yeast, maple syrup and lukewarm water together and leave for 5 minutes. Fold in the flour and salt to knead into a dough. Add a spoonful of water if the dough isn’t sticking together in a ball. Set aside to rise in a warm place for 20 - 30 minutes. Mix the pizza filling together - 2 tablespoons of Tomato Paste 1 tablespoon Barbecue Sauce 1 tablespoon Ginger - Garlic Paste 1 teaspoon mixed dried herbs - Basil, Rosemary, Oregano & Thyme 4 tablespoons grated vegan cheez, separately to sprinkle on top Directions for the scrolls - Roll the dough into a large rectangle and spread the pizza filling all over. Layer the cheez on and roll up tightly. Cut into 1 inch wide rolls and place into a round baking pan. Set aside in a warm place covered to rise for 30 - 40 minutes.
