I’m so glad we’re getting another book from Percy’s point of view because I’ve really missed seeing the random things that go through his head sometimes lol.

senior year percy just doing his domestic godly tasks to get into his normal godly university with his demigod girlfriend. domestic demigod content. this is my joker. i am the target audience. this is exactly what i need. no world ending danger. just percy trying to get into college and low stakes adventures with the og trio. i love it.

Ok but i was talking with a friend and it might make more sense than it first appears. The 3 God requirement really isn't that far fetch assuming they take lares. Campers would def build relationships with the lares around them and if the lares can send in their recommendations that might work. Particularly if they're expected to have 10 years of service to build goodwill with the local lares population.

Percy would struggle bc he hasn't had the time to build the same relationships and some gods might agree to put it in there to do list. But when it comes to gods to get to is any time from 1 week to 1 century and Percy needs the recommendation now. He can't afford to be dropped at the bottom a to do list that is already several hundred miles long.

btw this tsats read has made me even more apprehensive of the percy annabeth grover book coming up. i do not trust that man with these characters. i think he forgot how to write them as soon as he finished last olympian. i don't want him anywhere near percy or annabeth or grover.

and like... the concept for the book isn't even good. like at least it's low stakes or whatever and he's not doing ANOTHER world-ending fiasco. but richard. you mean to tell me that percy jackson, after saving the world TWICE, needs a recommendation letter to get into demigod college (i would admit him without an application). and the gods send him on a quest??? to earn a recommendation letter??
