The show not explaining that Percy can talk to horses because his dad is indeed The Father Of All Horses except for maybe a throwaway line in episode 2 is silly to me but I also kind of love the implications. Because they kind of make it seem as if Percy thinks this pegasus can just talk because at this point why wouldn't they be able to speak, and I hope no one ever explains it to him. I hope he thinks everyone can hear what the horses are saying and he's like "wow I can't believe Blackjack just said that" and everyone nods even if they definitely didn't hear it.
