A Really Dumb Nurgle Thought I Had
—————————————
Alright, so recently I’ve kinda hyper fixating on Nurgle and his beloved forces. Well, the other day while I was reading up on some Nurgalite lore and listening to Spotify, this song started playing:
When I finally realized what was playing the first thing to enter my mind was the mental image of a united army of all sorts of Nurgalite forces charging into battle and fighting, all while singing this song as they went.
I have to be honest, with how jovial and generous the Plague Lord and his followers are (especially in the context of Warhammer memes), I find this song strangely fitting.
Plaguebearers, known also as the "Tainted Ones," the "One-Eyed Rotters," "Horned Rotbags," "Maggotkin," "Rotbearers" and the "Tallymen of Plagues," are the Lesser Daemons of Nurgle who are the rank-and-file of the Plague Lord's Daemonic legions, crafted from the soul-stuff of mortals who have been slain by the worst of all the Fly Lord's many deadly "gifts" -- Nurgle's Rot.
Some plaguebearers I did inspired by the dark green example on the booklet they come with. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been super busy with life stuff, and I'm going to try and post more frequently.
It's been a while! Been quite busy with new job and warhammer stuff so here is a doodle of a nice nasty Plaguebearer!
Brought some plaguebearers to paint on my vacation. Good to have these guys done. Always sucks to find you didn't bring all the paints needed. Still have to rust the blades and such. But overall happy.
It’s kind of a mess right now but I’m almost done with my daemon of nurgle portion of my 40k and AoS army. And also, look at the detail on the Creature Caster models. My god they look amazing. I got the Lord of Malice (Demon Prince) and King of Ruin (Great Unclean One). They are also extremely durable resin which puts Forge World to absolute shame in price and quality. I’m probably going to get more of them some time down the road because of how good these models are.
The plaguebearers also have trees and thicket growing off of them which I was connecting them with the Garden of Nurgle. They will have the same paint scheme my Poxwalkers have for my Death Guard army. Overall I’m pretty excited to get my happeh Nurgle bois up and running in both games. I’ll give some updates on the paint scheme I am going with.
P.S. Going to test from contrast paints I got on them also to see how they work.
