New WAR Theory

What if the stress of having so many planeswalkers travelling to and remaining on a single plane, combined with the force required to hold open a planar bridge, allowing Gods of one plane to walk in another (thereby tugging tightly on the leylines that flow through them) and the unyielding strength of the Immortal Sun to trap over thirty-six planeswalkers (a task stressed even further by the blatant loophole of the planar bridge)...

What if all of that, inevitably, causes another Mending-like effect, changing the way the Planeswalker’s Spark works forever.

Bolas doesn’t get what he wants, but the multiverse experiences a new age of planeswalking, one that might be more favorable to him once he spends a few years studying its effects and setting new schemes into motion.

Tezzeret's Rise

Sooner or later Nicol Bolas will fall. Upon his defeat, Tezzeret, who will either have been gravely wounded during the fights or have his body reanimated by Bolas failing him, will replace all of his body by etherium, becoming an aether lich.

His soul will be damaged by that, and so will his Spark, but as an inorganic being he'll still be able to travel between planes thanks to the Planar Bridge. In this state, he'll take back some of Bolas's ressources and schemes as his own and become a new major villain of Magic, possibly commanding the remaining eternals too (laced with etherium?)

Am I the only one who thinks that the art in Dark Intimations looks a LOT like a smashed and toppled Planar Bridge? I mean both cards even have the same artist.

Planar Bridge

Got a super recent card today, and it’s a weird one.

I’m sure this card was aimed at commander players but i’ve not seen anyone figure out how to abuse it in the local scene (though i’ve been trying). I’m not saying that each card in commander is made to be abused but this type of card is only good when you can abuse it.

I get the feeling that this would work well with the other Legendary Artifact from this set Paradox Engine but you’d have to have a lot of extra mana and some way to keep drawing cards to cast them.

Overall this card is cool but until someone works out a consistent easy way to abuse it I’m pretty sure I won’t see it played often.

Planar Bridge is Annoying

Like, really annoying. If you have nothing to take care of it, every turn you can get ANYTHING out. I used it against my friend, a Skittering Doom Engine every turn is not something fun to see.
