Around 100 years ago, the sky and stars that we once knew and called home vanished. Within weeks everything froze over and life as we knew it on our planet died, and most of humanity with it. Those who had managed to survive on the surface were few but surviving. Then, the sky fell. Frozen atmosphere came crashing down to the surface as large sheets of ice, scattering the landscape and taking out more of the few that remained. Humanity was forced to retreat to the Underground where they now survive their day to day lives. On the radioactive tundra Surface, convicts from the underground are sent to work on the remaining nuclear power plants to power the cities underground. Now the world is built on the institute of science, who within the first 20 years after the First Extinction discovered why everything had gone dark. Our planet has been eaten by a cosmic being beyond the scale of human composition, and slowly, every year, we are being digested. Now on bought time, we are trying to develop ways to survive digestion and maybe one day, make it out.
