Kira’s got rough edges. I think Master Kiwiiks (gently) tries to rub them down. Corellan winds up trying positive reinforcement, focusing on what Kira does well rather than her ‘shortcomings’.
Corellan honestly would have normally objected here. Light-Side Paragon and all that. However, something made him inherently trust Kira, and play the ‘good cop’ to here ‘bad cop’. He didn’t know what that was. (I mean, i did. But that’s the benefit of being the creator.)
Kira bluffing a Black Sun thug into thinking she could rip his secrets from his mind will forever be one of my favorite scenes in this game.
Again, not normally the kind of thing Corellan would say at this point. But something about the whole situation impressed him somehow. It sort of established their dynamic. Yeah, Corellan is ahead of the curve with the lightsaber business and in ‘traditional’ Jedi methods, but Kira is the street-smart one. The one who picks up on things that a rather introverted young Jedi Knight who grew up in a secluded enclave sometimes misses. I won’t say this is where they fell in love. But the seeds were planted for their partnership. Their partnership led to their friendship. Their friendship led to.... Well. More on that later. ;)
