Do you know what a dasha is? I’ve seen it on Twitter and didn’t understand it

Dasha is the planetary period, it is different for every individual's chart as it is based on the moon nakshatra. Your first planetary period right after ur birth starts from the ruler of ur moon's nakshatra, ex. If u r born as Revati moon, the ruler of revati nakshatra is mercury, hence ur first planetary period will be of mercury, followed by Ketu and other planets in order, I'll give the order below and the number of years of each planetary period too. Based on ur moon nakshatra pada too, the duration of ur individual planetary period differs, if u r born in the last quarters of a nakshatra, the duration of ur specific planet dasha can be less, like u could get the next planetary period soon as most part of ur first dasha would've already passed on before ur birth.💝
Order of planets in planetary periods and it's duration:
1. Ketu - 7 years
2. Venus - 20 years
3. Sun - 6 years
4. Moon - 10 years
5. Mars - 7 years
6. Rahu - 18 years
7. Jupiter - 16 years
8. Saturn - 19 years
9. Mercury - 17 years
Note that not everyone runs the whole duration of each planetary period, it's based on the PADA of ur moon's nakshatra and this table of planet orders in dasha periods and it's whole duration can be found in Google itself, I've given it here for easy reference and understanding. 🫶🏻
Predictions of some events in ur life can be made from looking at these planetary periods, relating it with what's ur ascendant, based on ur asc, these planets become different house rulers for u and based on the placement of the planet running planetary period for u, interpretations and predictions can be made. ✨
