Pro-tip #1
At the start and throughout semester, use sticky note tabs with a number representing each week of semester, and mark chapters in your textbook to make it easier to navigate through your text, especially when you need to constantly refer back to it!
serbian, albanian, japanese :)
Serbian: a dish you fell in love with you discovered because of learning the language?Actually, I haven’t tried any foods because of foreign languages :-(
Albanian: When I start to learn new languages I always....I OBSESS for the first couple months it’s frickin crazy
Japanese: tell us a word which you’ve learnt immediately, one which you won’t forget ever in your life.Mutande - it means panties (women’s underwear) and I once confused it for the word merende (snacks) and my Italian friend made fun of me for like a year about it omfg
carnation, poinsettia, magnolia, heliconia :)
Carnation: If I handed you a concert ticket right now, who would you want to be the performer?
Taylor Swift, probably. I really love Taylor and I’ve been a Swiftie since 7th grade, but I had a weird thing where I felt like going to a concert would be too emotionally overwhelming because I felt an attachment to her/her music, and it would be an unsatisfactory experience for me unless I got to actually meet her. Kinda like “so close yet so far” I guess?
Poinsettia: Favorite holiday dish?
Thanksgiving, hands down. Although tbh we don’t do fancy holiday meals otherwise; we do Chinese takeout and sundaes for New Year’s and Christmas is anybody’s game. I LOVE gravy and stuffing with a passion. Yes please.
Magnolia: Favorite kind of candy?
I’m not a huge fan of chocolate (I know, something’s wrong with me) but I love fruity chewy candies like Sour Patch Kids, Swedish Fish, Twizzlers, Starbursts, Skittles, Hi-chews, White Rabbit, etc. There were some really incredibly good candies I tried in Singapore too.
Heliconia: Do you like when it rains?
I do and I don’t. I’ve always had an odd emotional reaction to rain (I just get more easily depressed, irritable, anxious, and generally in a bad mood) which we think probably comes from the fact that I was abandoned when I was 3 days old and was found after a thunderstorm, so I definitely did not have good first associations with rain. That said, I do like the sound, and while I don’t really like it if I’m alone, I really enjoy it if I have someone else to watch TV with or cuddle (HA HA as if I have anyone to cuddle with), kinda like snowy days. If it’s at night and my window is open I do like the smell and freshness of rain.
Flower asks!
for the studyblr ask: 5, 7, 9, 19, 20 :)
5) Bullet Journal or Planner?
Bullet journal. I love the flexibility and how I fill up all the space by just using pages as I go!
7) Coffee or tea?
Both, please. Coffee for the placebo effect of caffeine, and tea for chilling out
9) Sciences or humanities subjects?
I generally prefer numerical subjects over non-numerical ones, so I’m gonna go with sciences although my heart lies with business
19) Online books or regular books?
Online of on the go, regular for staying at home
20) Music while studying or silence?
Definitely not silence! Sometimes music, sometimes ambient noise

study suggestion for next term: try to keep up with your syllabus. before going to class, try reading a little bit about what you’ll learn, or google some of the key topics, so that you walk into class fresh with it in your mind :) (this is something i never did in my first year, but i definitely wanna do it this semester)
thanks again for the suggestion, sarah! i didn’t add this in the main post but i’ll be adding these suggestions to a list & i’ll mention you in the master post if i make it :)
