Who's camped out ready to order their Hobonichi Cousin at launch time? Me? What?
But the planners are more expensive and I bet shipping is nuts so I may be getting it from my favorite stationery store state-side so watch this space if you want the low-down on that, if it turns out to be true.
(Though watching people in the subreddit say "the dollar is stronger than the yen" as if inflation and rising shipping prices don't...mean anything once you say that has been giving me the giggles.)
"C’mon be spontaneous!”
I denied it for a long time but it’s time to accept the fact that I’m not spontaneous and I’m good with it. I am just about the least spontaneous person on earth. Oh sure, I’ll plan a totally reckless 8 day road trip to the Grand Canyon on $500, but--so help me-- I will plan the ever-living heck out of it. So yeah, I’m not spontaneous at all. If you ask me to go to the grocery store without at least 2 hours notice, I am gonna be grumpy about it. Every time you ask me to go out for dinner at 5pm I will say no. But that doesn’t mean I’m not adventurous. Give me 1 day to make dinner plans and I’ll be there. Give me 1 month to plan a trip to India and lets freaking go. And you know what the craziest part is? I even love it when my plans fall apart. Stranded in a train station in Algeciras for 3 hours? Heck yeah! Guess I’ll wander around the open market and talk to an old man about snails. ‘Spontaneity’ the way most people sell it is just bad decision-making marketed as freedom. I’m tired of adventurous friends pressuring me to ‘be more spontaneous’ when the only reason most of them are still alive is because they got lucky a few times. I don’t have that kind of luck and I know it.
