Looking for sources on daily life for the working class in Rio de Janeiro from 1985-1995
Calling any historians of this place/time.
Personal anecdotes also welcome.

I know the Real Plan was introduced at the end of this, and I'm interested in perceptions as it took hold.
But I'm interested in life before that. Particularly for the working class. Statistics, of course - what percentage lived in favelas or public housing on the outer edges of the city and what percentage lived elsewhere in the city (renting or owning). Education levels for the teens of that era. What percentage of people had full-time work and what that would buy? How much a non-impoverished working class was there and how did that group live?
Life with hyperinflation is something I've read a little about in different eras, and now I'm interested in this one. Always interesting, too, is how people felt about it, felt about their government and attempts to address the issue.
And with a high amount of income inequality, that brings another issue into the mix. And, of course, significant tourism and the response to that.
Anyway, I'm looking for books that cover daily life and emotions and experiences of the working class. And for information on how class structure was perceived at the time. And for statistics - particularly on where working class families lived, what the most common jobs were, etc. Can anyone point me to any good sources for that time and place?
