April Plant Challenge Day 17 aka Day 2 for me: Favourite Foliage
Now I simply couldn’t pick just one, so here are my fave four!
1. Ctenanthe Burle Marxii
2. Alocasia Polly
3. Cordyline Fructosia Mambo
4. Stromanthe Triostar (sanguinea)
In general I can’t resist green/white, green/pink and all black foliage!
Day 15: Weird Plant Wednesday Cotyledon Tomentosa My stress succulent. Literally I pet this fuzzy little plant that sits on my desk to calm down. When I first saw him in the greenhouse I knew without a doubt this plant was coming home with me. I’ve even condemned people that visit into petting him.
Day 19: My Pride and Joy Monsti is my first cutting that I propagated so he means a lot to me :) This is an older photo of him, when he first started off in soil.
April Plant Challenge Day 22 aka Day 7 for me: Oldest Plant
My oldest plant is an Echeveria Fabiola that I got at REWE in the January of 2019. It became extremely etiolated so I beheaded it. My first time doing that! I think it was a success since the stem is already growing several! new plants!
April Plant Challenge Day 30 aka Day 15 for me: Family Portrait
This is an old photo from last summer. It’s been sitting in my drafts for way too long, so I’m using this as an excuse to finally post it.
This was my original crew but sadly, despite my best efforts, not all of these babies made it through the winter.
I’m trying not to be too hard on myself though, since I’ve only had plants for ~ a year and a half. Mistakes were made and I’m learning.
Day 23: “Newest Plant” Scindapsus Pictus
Meet my newest little youngin’. Her name is Sylvia the silver satin pothos. I’ve been looking for her for awhile, and trying to find one that wouldn’t cost me too much. Finally I found her in my favorite greenhouse! <3
