My new hobby is looking up plants on iNaturalist that I want to see (so far mostly plants I miss from the northwoods that are less common in southern Wisconsin) and then giving them a visit! Even though I saw bunchberries (Cornus canadensis) in Maine last year, I haven't seen them in Wisconsin in many years, since they're primarily found in the north. On iNaturalist I saw there was a single population in my county, so I went to admire them. The trail ended up having a lot of species I don't commonly find around here, as well as TONS of fern diversity. I think I want to pick up a fern ID book and spend a couple hours there sometime. More pictures to come from today's hike!
