My mask for Yamishibai. I still need to get a life cast of my face done. In the meantime I started with a basic mask I picked up at Michaels. I needed to reshape the eyeholes so I covered them with plaster bandages and then more plaster bandages. After a few build ups I recut the eyes to the correct shape. I used some pourable plaster to help smooth the surface. Then it was time to paint. First was a fluorescent paint so it has a bit of glow under the other layers. Then it was just a matter of layering paint to get the right tone. Finished by dry rushing the age lines to give the feel of wrinkles, without them actually being there.
