Sports, sex, and fashion shaped modern footwear design—and left shoes filled with plastics. There may be solutions in sight.
Plastics. They will probably always be used as long as humans exist.
Here is my plastic solution. Right now we have 1000’s of “recipes” for plastics that fill dozens of uses. I would say the biggest use for plastic is for food packaging.
Why can we not as a planet and also the manufacturers of the raw plastic used to make the food containers agree to one the same recipe globally. That would make melting and reusing the plastic very easy.
Also we should get used to seeing funky colored plastic not just perfectly clear first use plastics.
