Mr. Burns: a post electric play is a play I never see anyone talking about, which is a shame because its pretty good, I really recommend watching it.

It's a dark comedy about a group of people trying to recite a Simpson's episode from memory to comfort each other after a world changing disaster and how the episode and what the Simpsons means to people changes over time.

- snotty British boys bitch about poor people a lot in Oxford; they say what we know the Tories are thinking out loud

Equus by Peter Shaffer

- horse boy antics, and Daniel Radcliffe showed his booty on stage performing this

Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

- yes, I've read a crap ton of Shakespeare and I can solidly say R+J is my favorite Shakespeare work

The Trojan Women by Euripides

- I've not studied classics or Greek history in depth and really have only explored Euripides, and this play is the one I fell in love with because of the Women Struggles (understatement)

No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre

- introverts will stan

Blood Wedding by Federico García Lorca

- I imagine Leonardo looking like Enrique Iglesias

The Tempest by William Shakespeare

- my favorite Shakespeare comedy... "we are such stuff as dreams are made on" and shit

Salomé by Oscar Wilde

- there's just something that hits you hard when you read this in the original French and hear Herod just pleading for his stepdaughter to ask for literally anything except John's the Baptist's head

Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe

- I'm Addie Larue and I approve this message

Dirty Hands by Jean-Paul Sartre

- communists will get their work and their bitches done *huffs*

Ok so I just read Cupid and Psyche by Joseph Fisher and I have so many thoughts. First off, amazing play, highly recommend, absolutely loved it. It's a romantic comedy about the title characters and the myth surrounding them getting together, but instead of Aphrodite being the main meddler in their relationship it's Apollo because he's upset about Daphne (don't worry Aphrodite still starts shit). Second, not the most myth accurate, not that I expected it to be, but just, Apollo just kept calling the tree Daphne turned into a 'hyacinth tree' instead of a laurel. And at one point Aphrodite calls Hades her and Apollo's brother??? It's just those tiny details that got to me.

Still more people should absolutely read it it's fantastic, love the characterization of the gods.
