Thing is, I see Huey's ideology, and I understand it. But it is fundamentally flawed, as in "Nuclear deterrence brought us peace" simply isn't true. It brought conflict elsewhere. And that is one of Metal Gear's fundamental problems when it comes to its anti-war message so far, because it accuses conflict on a single agent -- The Patriots -- and completely forgoes the *actual*, real world reality, which is that conflicts are created because of the interests some country have. It also is very focused on the characters, which, in MGS 1 the most, makes it more feel like "war is bad because it gives PTSD to some people", instead of "war is bad because it brings terrible suffering on oppressed populations because the richest powers have interests in getting richer through war".
