“Did she? Didn’t she? Whose to blame?” Those are questions which linger in the mind of Phillip, a naive young boy who upon receiving letters from his beloved cousin, Ambrose, days before he’s suspiciously died due to an “illness”, believes his murderer/tormentor to be Rachel, his wife, in Roger Michell’s Mystery/Period-Drama, “My Cousin Rachel” (2017). 😃 When a man claims to understand a woman’s feelings and femininity, and when the woman so easily twists the man between her fingers, it’s a clear warning to never underestimate a woman’s resolve, and of course, her cunning nature. 😈😏 Rachel Weisz is as gorgeous as she is sly in her role as Rachel Ashley, a woman whose not to be trusted. Sam Clafin (extremely beautiful young man) portrays Phillip’s naivety and impulsive tendency perfectly. Holliday Grainger is cheerful, intuitive, and caring as Louise Kendall, Phillip’s dearest friend. Iain Glen as Phillip’s godfather, Nick Kendall was absolutely brilliant and the scenes involving the handsome gentleman were my favorite parts! 😍☺️💘💘 It’s wonderful to see Mr.Glen in more film roles, especially after watching him as Jorah Mormont on “Game Of Thrones” (HBO), which has made yours truly a loyal follower of his. 😄🙌🏻 Whether or not Rachel Ashley did murder Ambrose, the moral lesson of the story is as such: “Appearances can be deceiving.” they surely can. 🤫 #MyCousinRachel #DidSheOrDidntShe #PlayingRoles #Facade #UnsolvedMurder #Tormentor
