one of my favourite things about the 50th anniversary special of play school was listening to all these adults, both presenters and those who grew up watching it talking about the toys. explaining how they saw them, the actions of the toys and giving these detailed analysis of them along with mentioning that they got toys like big ted and little ted and gave them the same names but you couldn’t do that with jemima because not just any doll can have that name. that name is reserved for dolls that look exactly like jemima.
