This disgusting video slanders a content creator, all because they hadn't included one small segment of a clip. And yes, I call the video disgusting because in the beginning it says not to harass anyone mentioned in it, when in fact that's all the video is doing. The person also blames the content creator for their girlfriend's mental health problems......which, I'm sorry, no one can tell you how to feel.

Now THIS video is the response from the content creator. Turns out, the people slandering him? Minors. Minors who twisted his words, didn't give him a chance to try and explain or fix the situation, before spreading lies and hate. The creator doesn't blame them, but he DOES call them out of their actions.

This is the WORST possible way to handle things. Publicly calling out a content creator for showing 2 seconds of an anonymous clip you just HAPPEN to be in??? No. That creator only shared HIS thoughts, HIS opinions. He even went and pulled up more footage to support what the issue really was about. And the slandering minors? Barely had any evidence.

This is not me saying you need to support either of these videos. This is me saying that if minors want to start being adults and watch and interact with adult things, then they need to fucking grow up. Us adults in their 20's, 30's, 40's CANNOT be responsible for every teenager that decides to start shit.

So much of the fandom drama I've heard in the past year or so has revolved around minors making stupid choices. Stop ruining it for the rest of us that just want to enjoy the things we are into.

These are my personal thoughts on the issues, PLEASE be smart and don't attack, harass, slander, bully, WHATEVER, anyone. Not just those involved in the videos I shared, but ANYONE.

A Reminder to My American Audience:

A very important day is coming up and I know we're all tired. The pandemic hasn't really slowed, parts of our country are burning, there's civil unrest everywhere, and we're all sitting on pins and needles waiting to see how it plays out...

It's not my place to tell you how to vote, even now I firmly believe that. I know which side I would strongly advise (if for nothing other than our collective sanity), but I don't know you, your situation, your values, or your background. If anything about this process was so clear-cut and objective, there wouldn't be a need to vote in the first place.

But if I may... Right now, for this moment, I don't even care who you support. I only want people to be safe... Please, if you're voting in person, take precautions. Wear a mask for others, even if not yourself. Bring water, snacks, and dress appropriately for the weather in case there's a line. If you see any "poll-watchers" don't let them bully you or scare you away from exercising your right to be there. Fear and compliancy will be how our rights get taken away from us, don't let them get to you too.

Red or blue, please try to remember that we're people first. Then Americans. Then party. It's surprisingly easy to forget that... The partisanship that got us here will never be resolved until we remember to care for each other as people. Our politics divides us, but our empathy and humanity will pull us together even in times of hardship.

For college students and faculty and staff

Please, please, please, if your college decides to leave it up to the students, faculty, and staff as to return or not to campus, think of your chronically ill and immunocompromised people. Your classmates that are sick a little to often. Your family members that are constantly going to doctors. Your professors that have young kids or vaguely mention their health issues. The faculty that wear masks even when there isn't a pandemic during flu season.

Think about us. Try to really imagine the fear and anger we're feeling about being ignored through this pandemic. If you have the option, try to support keeping campus closed or, at the very least, promote accommodations for people to scared to return to campus. Even if your campus doesn't leave the choice up to the college population, voice your concerns.
