Scopophobia is not the fear of eyes themselves. It’s the fear of being watched. This does not mean a fear of eyes. Think like you’re in your room, you notice a door is cracked open… Did you leave it open? Surely you did. But… Why do you hear breathing? You’re out shopping, and you feel eyes on you, but whenever you go to look, you don’t see anyone, but there’s so many potential sources. You feel hunted.

Ommetaphobia is the fear of eyes themselves.

If your artwork has eyes in it, do not tag for scopophobia, but for ommetaphobia. If your work involves being stalked and observed and watched, then tag for scopophobia.
