Uhhh okay this is a #knd rant and this are just my personal thoughts, but you know, something I'm not the most keen about in fanworks is when people uhh make the DC adopted instead of you know... forcibly kidnapped and brainwashed. I'm not saying you're the second reincarnation of the devil if you do this but... I do think it should be aknowledged that Father is not a good father and really shouldn't be portrayed at way me thinks... Do what you want I guess since I can't stop you, but I do think it's not the best thing to ignore that Father kidnapped 5 random kids and forced them to conform to his standards of what a child should be, and is not objectively a good guy. Then again, my personal opinion
Idk just a little thought I have
This is kind of how I imagine Kai if anyone cares 🫶
But, also I feel like this guy’s hair is very close to what’s described in canon so there’s that
loml (loss of my life)
I have a confession
My first thought when I saw scratch was "okay but hear me out"
THIS POST CONTAINS TADC EPISODE 9 SPOILERS!!!
Unpopular opinion:
Flawed/complex/traumatized characters who end up accidentally hurting people around them/hurt them on purpose are actually very interesting to watch. That is, until they become the writer's pet, especially if they are supposed to be sharing the story with other characters.
They are fun to watch until they become the center of everything and don't get held accountable for the damage they caused to other people and are forgiven at the end like what they did could be excused because of their trauma (it could not; trauma is the reason, not the excuse).
Even worse, when they take up all the screen time or have all the angst dumbed on them and them only (or we see only their reaction to the problems going on). It makes the show/movie boring and makes it seem, forgive me, like a sob-story.
Even EVEN worse is when the other characters have trauma or need development but it is skipped over to serve the main character.
I'm gonna cry now people are gonna think I'm a conservative homophobic abliest racist/srs
