Would anyone be interested if I started posting my book reviews that I write for my school publication here? I may tweak my last one about the newest Welcome to Night Vale Novel, but I’ve really been enjoying reading these books and sharing my thoughts on them, and maybe it’ll help you find your new favorite book! So a black Sails thought just popped into my mind: basically, in season 3 when Woodes Rogers arrives in Nassau and he pardons all the pirates and Jack and Anne leave, Jack decides to come back because he wants to keep his name, he doesen't want to give it up and he still believes he can keep it. The thing that I remembered is that when they ask him his legal name he says 'John Rackam', a name we've never seen him being addressed by, he's always been 'Jack' for us, not John. And I think it's interesting because he goes back specifically for his name, and while it's his 'legal' name, this is the first time we hear it. It's ironic, isn't it? For someone who's so invested in legacies and in his name he doesen't seem like he cares at all what his 'real' name is.

In Need Of Help

In times of need, Catholics often ask for prayers of loved ones who are ill. I’m not here to ask of prayers cuz frankly I think thats bullshit. I’m just asking for you to keep someone i love in your thoughts and whatever you would like to offer up as a thought, whether that be prayer, meditation, or voodou, i dont care. 

My grandmother, who is turning 84 in January, is not doing so well. Over the summer, my family moved her into an assisted living senior center called Morningside. Everything was great about this facility and if your family members are in need of help, i definitely recommend this facility. Anyway, we thought she was going to do great, but turns out there were a lot of health issues that we didnt see until the move. She was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and is on an oxygen machine while she sleeps. She stays in her room each day only going out of it for meals and when my mom is there to have her get up. Things are getting bad enough to where the doctor has said if she doesnt do more, she will lose her memory. Which means at this rate, she wont remember anything about her family or anything she loves. 

Please send your good thoughts to her and my family, we all need them.

I might be quitting my job tomorrow or next week. Need some support, I'm so unhappy and need to find a better situation. Asap.
