3DP Studio Blog: Check out this monster 3D print that came off our Makerbot Z18. It's printed to the max height of the build volume - 18 inches tall or so. It's part of the series i'm referring to (for now) - as "Plotting Curves / Form Studies." This series is partly about creating forms that on the one hand print without "support" material and on the other are engaging, complex, intricate and compelling. I especially like the rhythm and transitions in this piece. I'll be exhibiting these pieces at some point in the fall - stay tuned for more info on that!
