Eri was originally just an ordinary worker, but once she was face to face with Rot's demonic form, something shifted in her very core, essentially taking away part of their humanity and causing them to "spiral" over the course of several days... It essentially lead them to have a conversation with her mother, where they found out that her father was/is a demon, that was (luckily) never involved in their life
Once that side of themselves was "explained" their obsession with Rot increased immensely, fueling their delusion of their paths being even more entwined, considering their shared nature. It lead her to kidnap Rot multiple times, which was seen as impressive by the man, considering how secluded and well guarded his home always has been!
In turn, Rot's endearment with his favorite employee blooms with each "dedicated" and "hard working" feature he discovers about her... They're not super clear on what labels to place on their relationship, but it's clear for anyone in their workspace that the two are the most chaotic couple they've ever seen...
If Eri was Obsession from the get go, her hiring interview would be so fucking funny dhjdhdjd,,,
Rot: So then, what would you say are some of your most outstanding qualities?
Eri: Uhm.. I'm loyal (thinking about how she's only been able to think about Rot for as long as she has known about him), I enjoy being helpful and taking care of people around me (imagining him being limbless or lobotomized and being completely reliant on her for everything) and I'm very dedicated! (Remembering the gigantic shrine she has of any and all things she can get from Rot; napkins, hair, clothes, etc)
Meanwhile she's just getting increasingly more flustered and she almost loses it when Rot offers her a glass of water lmao
Thinking about my PlsDQ S/I and I think I have some ideas to expand on!!
Their route would go from the Traumatized ending, but instead of them being scared and empty, they'd get extremely obsessed with Rot/Boss, mostly because of his monster form, but they already began to have feelings for him during their little night out
I want to make her a demi-demon, specifically the Obsession Demon, whose powers haven't manifested yet, so they have no idea about her powers and durability, compared to regular humans
They're not immune to Rot's abilities, but she won't die from it... So whenever she wants to be lovey-dovey with him, they just take a much larger dose of the medicine he's given her!
Which is exactly what they do at the end of the game itself, just chugging half of the bottle right in front of Rot so she can kiss him and let him know that they'll be back to work tomorrow~
I have some more... Freaky ideas too, but I'll save that for later >:3c
