Decided to revisit and redraw and old unpublished book of mine. This is One Plumed Serpent's 3rd incarnation since 1995. A Mayan counting book from zero to 20 (or 21 if I make this the 21st image). I had hiked around Belize and Guatemala a bit in the 90s taking time off from Borders Books (they used to let you take almost unlimited unpaid leave that was a great place to work then). It inspired a flurry of illustration ideas. So that's the origin of this latest piece.
That said...I license Editorial and Fantasy stock illustration on my website. I could never get the hang of Anime so its all in a linocut style.

Cheryl put her head in her hands, trying not to cry. She'd thought it was a great idea to take a motorboat out on the sea alone, but she hadn't checked the fuel gauge before leaving. Now the boat wouldn't move, leaving her stranded in the water. And the radio didn't seem to be working.
