Kara stared athim.

“What did I do?”she asked.

“Oh, no, Kara, youdidn’t do anything.” Brainy said, reassuring. “I was only wondering why thisdog has stolen my sandwich, and now licked my face.”

Krypto looked upat him, barking happily.

“Brainy!” Karaanswered. “He likes you!”

“Is that why youhave stolen my food, as well?” Brainy asked. “Because you like me?”

“Hey, you did sayyou didn’t want to eat anything when I did.” Kara said. “And besides, that hasnothing to do with this. Krypto likes eating everything, just like Clark and I-so you can get used to hiding your food, to make sure he won’t get to it.”

“Very well.”Brainy said. “But, the licking?”

“Oh, that’s akiss.” Kara answered. “How dogs kiss, I mean. So, he really does like you, andmaybe you might consider hugging him?”

Brainy sighed,looking down at the dog.

Finally, he sunkto his knees, and gave Krypto a gentle hug.

“…You are not so bad.”He said. “I am sorry for misjudging you.”

Krypto barkedagain, licking Brainy’s face.

“Bork!”

I used to think I’d love nothing more than to have a nice little apartment somewhere and have a space of my own but...nah. I’m not suited for living on my own, I’d get horribly lonely. Busy, crowded houses can be overwhelming sometimes, but I prefer that to the endless solitude of living alone.

I am housesitting for my parents and decided to rank my mom’s chickens based on friendliness

Fiona: 10:10

This girl is gorgeous, she’s fluffy, and she will follow you around like a puppy. She’s the sweetest chicken my mom has and also the fanciest. Bonus: I believe she is the one who lays blue eggs

Mikey: 8/10

Fluffy cheeks and lays green eggs. She’s a bit nervous and WILL crouch down for you to mate with her if you approach her. But she is a good pal.

I don’t know this one’s name: 6/10

She’s the main bitch in charge. Unfriendly to other hens bc she’s the queen. She follows you everywhere but won’t sit in your lap. Very curious lady and will try to eat the buttons off your clothes. #girlboss

One of the heathers: 3/10

She’s very nervous and this was as close as I could get to her. She loves to sleep in the tree which is forbidden. She mostly hangs with her two sisters (also named heather)

Rose: 10/10

Our oldest chicken. We raised her when I was in high school and she is now 10 years old. She doesn’t lay the best eggs but she loves people and loves to snuggle in your lap. A geriatric beauty

Cal: -1000/10

Not a chicken. Do not let him eat the chicken food. Does not lay eggs. Will snap at you if you try to stop him from eating chicken poop (his favorite snack). Mean.
