Body image demons are often the hardest to slay. I'm a 50 year old Trans Woman who has been dealing with hating my body for years. I am finally starting to see the person I always wanted to be and finding my own sense of goth style. Jilliannnnnnn, I've searched all over and can't find something wide-calf and Victorian witchy--you know--lace-up, mid-calf, black? Any idea where us thick-thighed goths can get nice boots?
I just did a search on Zappos, and UGH, there was nothing good. Okay you peeps reading this, you know the drill: any suggestions or clicky-links?
If you find a pair of boots you like with a zipper and laces, a work-around is getting a calf extender panel! There’s this thing called Boot Band, which is an elastic gusset that zips into your boots! I have a set, and they have been a miracle for dealing with narrow-calved boots (like some of my Fluevogs, argh).
Do you have any favourite plus/chubby witch fashion bloggers from your search today? That sounds like something that would cheer me up too

You know what? To hell with you. This is going to be the summer that I will wear tank tops and sleeveless dresses outside of the house if I want. I am almost 47, I have some wacky medical issues, and I REFUSE to dislike my upper arms anymore.
