“It’s a special occasion, isn’t it, Defect?” Marvin remarked, offering his captive a toothy grin. “Your birthday! The day a putrid lesser form crawled out of our creator’s mind and tried to assert itself. Hehe...it brings back memories.”

Within the dark magic containing him, Anti gurgled and spasmed in helpless rage, looking very much like the worm he was.

Strolling by his equipment table, Marvin trailed an appreciative hand over the bone saw. “You know, I rewatched that footage from 2016 and I couldn’t help but think: That throat work of yours is inelegant. Clumsy. I’m no expert, of course, but let’s see if we can cut all the way back to the spine.”

“Were you listening?” With PM!Marvin and another ego of your choice?

“What are you doing, Jameson? Were you listening just now? Eavesdropping on me?” Marvin questioned flatly as the younger Ego scurried frantically away from the door. A sweat broke out on his face almost instantly as he began ringing his hands.

“Dear me, no! I-I was only, ah...coming to...see if you wanted a cup of tea.” He hesitated at Marvin’s silence, conflict passing over him. The idiot had a vital decision to make now -- and, exactly to Marvin’s prediction, he made the wrong one. “Although...it’s not in my nature to pry but I must admit that as I approached, I heard some rather peculiar noises in there. I can’t help but be curious.”

Oh, poor little thing. “Well, I’m not one to keep secrets from my family,” Marvin purred, beckoning him closer. “I’ll show you what I’ve been working on. Come on in, close the door behind you.”

PM!Marvin treating Chase to some ice cream?(laced with magic obviously)

“You honestly think I’m going to trust anything you give me?” Chase demanded, eyeing the offered dessert with disdain. “What’d you do to it? Am I about to get drugged?”

“Why would I bother drugging you unless I needed to take you somewhere? I don’t have to; you’re right where I want you to be,” Marvin answered with utmost patience as he took a spoonful for himself. “There, see? Mmm. I see why you like rocky road...Come on, dipper, I know you’re hungry.”

Though his glare didn’t waver, Chase finally snatched it from him. Marvin beamed in response. The magic had no effect on its caster but for his dear brother, it would only take a bite or two.

question about the pm egos: do they still genuinely care about their brothers/creator? like, do pm marvin and pm jameson care about chase, does pm jackie care about schneep, does pm schneep care about jack? or are they solely fixated on power and just want to keep the others under their control?

Marvin and JJ care in their own twisted way; they genuinely think they’re doing the “right thing” by “protecting” Chase. They think they’re finally strong enough to do what “needs” to be done.

Schneep started out genuinely caring for Jack and then went over the edge; it’s more about paranoia and making sure he’s not seen failing Jack again than about Jack himself, but he disguises it as care.

Jackie...That’s harder to answer. He values Schneep and his services, as someone to keep him company, as an amusement, as an assistant, but he doesn’t really care for him anymore. He doesn’t really have to; Schneep loves him enough that he doesn’t need to be loved back to stay by his side.

On a scale of 1-10, how gentle would the PM!egos be with you, Rilia? 1 being slapping you a crossed the room with out a thought and 10 treating you like a doll about to break.

Well, I really don’t pose much of a threat to any of them, so hopefully they wouldn’t feel the need to do terrible things to me!

PM Jackie and PM Marvin probably wouldn’t have much remorse about hurting me if I crossed them -- maybe a 7-8 for each of them if I actually managed to cause trouble? PM Jameson would resort to manipulation and mind control first, before actually damaging a lady...Maybe a 5 for him, 6 if I pissed him off. I know there are some people out there who ship me with PM Schneep, so he’d probably be the “kindest”? And really, he wouldn’t have to do much, my pain tolerance is very low.

I just realized I reversed your scale, with 10 being the worst and 1 being the best, but let’s just pretend it’s supposed to be that way ^^”

PM Marvin putting a spell on any of the others, who came to rescue chase from him?

The machete was already easing out of the doctor’s hand, his eyes already glazing green as Marvin’s magic seeped into any exposed skin. He had always been so easy to influence; Marvin might have laughed under any other circumstance. “There’s nothing to see here, Schneep,” he assured him with soft composure. “Nothing to worry about. Nothing to investigate.”

“But...Chase...?” Dazed confusion briefly crossed his face. “Chase is...”

“Chase isn’t living here anymore. We haven’t seen him in weeks, remember?” Setting the blade aside, he reached out to gently interlace their fingers. “We’ve all been searching but there’s no sign of him. I want to find him as badly as you do...We just have to hold onto hope and work together, not against each other. Isn’t that right?”

“Mm...Yes...Yes. We work together.”

I like the thought of one of your PM characters softly singing 'Trust in Me' while they hypnotize someone.
