$100,000 Milestone on the Horizon

As the sun sets on the summer and Pumpkin Spice everything is hitting the shelves, I find myself creeping closer to that $100,000 lifetime fundraising milestone. I'm less than $2,000 away and I still have a month to raise funds.

Day 2, The Wellesley Century

I hope you had a chance to watch my Sturbridge to Bourne video from my last email. I've received a lot of positive feedback.

Since then I've had a chance to put together a video from Day 2 of PMC Weekend, where my teammates and myself rode the new Wellesley Century route. While it wasn't the traditional day of riding the length of Cape Cod, it was a fun ride.

Marty’s Reimagined Pan-Mass Challenge Ride

It has been over a week since the "Reimagined" Pan-Mass Challenge weekend and I am surprised at one thing in particular. I am surprised that during this Covid-19 crisis and tough economic time that my fundraising has actually increased over last year! 

I am pleasantly surprised I broke the $9,000 mark :-) This is incredible in light of the fact that I have about 30 donors from last year who have yet to donate this year. If I add up those 2019 donations, it would be an additional $2,100...

In this video Dr. Chris Sweeney, Professor of Medicine Harvard Medical, Medical Oncologist and 5-year PMC rider, describes how the money raised by the PMC (your donations) has helped with research around brain tumors.

Both my Step-father, Rod, and more recently, my Uncle Paul, have succumbed to brain tumors. At least two of my team’s Pedal Partners have battled brain tumors. So this research is very important.
