Hermit a Day May 16: Scar (Goodtimes)

Cub’s other half (Romantic? Platonic? Familial? You’ll never know), Scar is a Zorua who knows how to have fun. He got his start in small crime, which is where he picked up his habit of staying illusioned as an eevee - according to him it makes him much more trustworthy. Unfortunately, he was never as good at illusion work as Cub, so there’s always some tell-tale signs that he might not really be an eevee. After getting on the wrong side of the rescue team federation, Scar was placed under arrest and spent a few months in jail. He swore up and down that he would work above board from now on and was released into Cub’s care. They did in fact go above board, and since then Scar has been the dedicated treasure-hunter supplying Cub’s swap shop, following his business through the Kingdom guild, the Hermit guild, and two continents. Nowadays, he enjoys working with a variety of pokemon, proving to be a flexible (if, as Grian says, infuriating) partner.

Hermit a Day May 17: Ren

Ren is a bit of a variety adventurer, dabbling in treasure-hunting and exploration alongside his main gig of rescue work. He has a flair for the dramatic but is generally well-liked, so he also works with lots of different pokemon from the Hermit guild, namely Cleo, False, Doc, and Xisuma. He likes mixing it up and doing a different thing every day! Rescue work is his true love though, he loves being able to help pokemon in need and feel like he’s making an impact on the world.

Hermit a Day May 6 - Mumbo

Mumbo was, at some point, a human. He remembers that time not-so-fondly now, but it certainly was weird when one day after a particularly terrible english exam he found himself hurtling through spacetime and transformed into a helioptile. He’s just. Not really sure what he did wrong? After wandering the countryside alone and freaking out for about a day, he was found by the rescue team of Biffa and Hypno who brought him back to the newly-formed Hermit guild to recover and try to find out what was wrong. While he never does quite figure out what happened to him, he finds that he is thriving here in the pokemon world in a way he never did in the human world, learning about tinkering from members of the neighboring Mindcrack tinkerers guild and taking to it like a duck to water. When he eventually gives up on finding out how to go home, he asks X to take him on an exploratory venture so he can begin contributing to the guild. He, False, and X head out and Mumbo is in awe of the wide, unexplored world that lies before him. He never stops tinkering and is still known for his skills in magic item modification, but exploration is where his heart lies. Several years after his transformation, he learns of a pokemon that can grant wishes that lives in the bottom of a place called Wish Cave. Hopeful, he heads down to the pit, but finds it empty and cold.

Hermit a Day May 15: Jevin

Jevin uses his strength and ability to roll at high speeds to perform rescues, specializing in rockslides and avalanches along with his partner, Hypno. He has been a member of the Hermit guild for as long as it has existed in its current state, though he was not around for Genny’s original Hermit coalition. He especially enjoys making pokemon laugh after their rescue, trying to bring up everyones spirits! When he isn’t doing rescue work, he enjoys long walks in the woods.
