Sayaka Miki PMMM was my first true favorite character I'm now realizing how Knight of Despair-like she is (Knight of Despair is my favorite Abno) and one of my favs from Magia Record got a Doppel named Don Rocinante and now it's Walpurgisnacht in Limbus and a new Madoka Magica game and movie about their Walpurgisnacht anyways notes on Doppel and Witch under the cut

Sancho Panza (Doppel) The Doppel of aimless justice. It's form is a pinwheel. The master of this emotion is very proud of it, believing it to be a form of ultimate attack that can defeat any evil, but in truth it's attacks aren't very effective. The arms rapidly spin as the master charges forward, but the lances the multiple mechanical arms hold aren't suited to this sort of attack, and most of the hands hold empty gestures instead of weapons.

Alonso Quixano (Witch) The Witch of frivolity. It's form is a carrousel. Born from a wish to forget the past, this witch used to believe she was charging forwards bravely. Once she realized she was only spinning in useless circles and going nowhere, she gained a childish form that reflects that. It's Familiars, which resemble cardboard cutouts of knights and horses, follow their Witch's sense of justice and seek out and "rescue" people in situations of injustice. However, once within the Barrier, the Witch's uncontrolable hunger for magic takes over and she ends up devouring them. Unable to acknowledge that she's become the very sort of monster she once fought against, she simply continues spinning.

To Explain the bullshit that goes on in my head aka the weird pmmm universe x DC universe crossover I think about often in my head

Spoilers under the cut if you don’t know anything about puella magi madoka magica

(I HIGHLY recommend watching this show blind its only 12 episodes and it’s great there’s also a recap movie that has all 12 episodes and some extra stuff packed in it as one movie if you do t feel like sitting through 12 eps)

In my head for a DC and Pmmm crossover to work is when Homura starts rewinding time and starting the same month over and over again some of the stronger magic users in the DC universe start picking it up and noticing and just going “Wait a damn minute”

Because that’s how imagine her time manipulation to work, she doesn’t travel through time she rewinds it and undoes everything. Like for example say the timeline is an actual line when Homura uses her abilities she takes an erasure and erases the whole month of April and draws the line again

We time being rewound in her magical girl transformation in magia record so that’s why I assume she rewinds time and doesn’t travel through time

Now homura canonically rewinds time hundreds of time (12 years worth of reliving the same (1) month to be exact)

At first, or during the “Braids and Glasses Homura Era” it was a weird case of Deja vu nothing to make note of for the magic users

Then Middway through the rewinds the stronger magic users just go “wait a damn minute” they start to realize something’s going on but due to the fact the only person that keeps the memories of the prior timelines every rewind is Homura and since Homura rewind ability is limited to only rewinding one month

by the time they figure out a way to locate where in the world this person who is rewinding time is Homura is already rewinding time for the month to start again so their memories just go phoeey

This part is where I might need help in brainstorming cause I figure out how they find out about Homura and how that interaction would go xD

But to explain the image in top I like to think that eventually as the timelines keep rewinding it eventually starts to effect Jason kind of how it effected sayaka and Madoka

Like how I talked about how Homura using her rewind ability to “erase” a part of the timeline and draw the line again being how it works the same can be said to how Jason came back from the dead because Superboy-Prime's reality-altering punches during Infinite Crisis caused ripples in the timeline and brought Jason back to life (man I wish I was pulling this outta my ass but I’m not and it’s crazy that that’s canon anyways)

But super didn’t erase anything he just Yknow I punched it

This probably doesn’t make much sense it’s like 10pm rn and I’m eepy lol ill probably explain it better later

Anyways his body is the “susceptible” in a way to homuras time magic, like he has a sensitivity to it or is a sponge to it and as Homura keeps trying over and over again to save madoka, jason eventually gets effected by it and becomes aware of it like madoka and starts having “dreams” of past timelines and experiences extreme Deja vu

But since Jason’s older then madoka and more experienced with weird shit then she is (technically he is before she meets the incubator in the beginning of every timeline, technically) he eventually becomes aware of the timeline rewinds the same way Homura is

Anyways shenanigans ensue and Jason tries to go down the list of people he knows can rewind time trying to figure out whos rewinding if and way and it’s very hilarious montage in my head

Is it a speedster? That’s his first guess but as his investigation comes out with nothing the month resets

Confused, maybe it’s a super? Again nothing and the month resets before he can ask either the speedsters or supes for help

Ok now, he knows he’s on a time crunch and needs to find whoever is rewinding time before April ends and apparently he’s the only person aware of the rewinds ok that’s fine he’s got this

He doesn’t

10-20 resets later and Jason’s waking up in the morning of April again and hes just screaming into his pillow in frustration and meanwhile in Japan Homuras screaming into her hospital pillow for failing AGAIN

Eventually as the rewinds keep happening and the lore he’s exposed to Homuras magic the dreams he used to have of his past timeline experiences eventually delve into a weird fucked up version of Homuras memories buried in her buckler(source: wraith arc, read it it’s good :) )

NOW he finally has a start as to WHO is rewinding time now he needs to get to Japan, learn Japanese, (which maybe he probably already does know tbh) and find this middle school girl and figure out the WHY and the HOW

In a month

But it’s fine she’s constantly rewinding time so he technically has all the time he needs to figure that out

This next part is constantly changing in my head but I like to think he becomes extremely protective of the quintet girls Homura, Mami and kyoko especially because he sees himself in those three girls BIG time

Some bonus things about this Crossover

-the justice league interrogate an incubator they capture and Martian manhunter and Batman hating them so damn much because 1. Mn’M and Batman have no idea what’s going on in his head and 2. Their lies by ommissions are pissing them (and the rest of the league) off big time

-the incubator tells Wonder Woman they’ve made contracts with other Amazonian girls and has made a comment of how their such an “incredible energy resource” and it’s taking every thing out of her to keep her from destroying the incubator they have hostage because they need it for info

- the incubator also makes a comment to kara about how grateful they were upon discovering that kryptonians were wiped out of the universe and how they don’t understand why their harvesting the souls of human girls to keep the unviverse in balance when it was species like kryptonians who played a part in quickening the heat death of the universe which is why they need to harvest the energy humans produce

Kryptonian girls couldn’t produce that same energy human girls could so of course it’s good their gone, they say in their happy go lucky “I’m just a guy” voice that I hate so much (the incubators voice actors are perfect no notes )

And it’s taking everything out of CLARK to keep HER from destroying the incubator they have hostage because they need it for info

My good moots! I have an announcement!!

Since I watched Danny Motta react to PMMM, I realized that Mari is very much Homura coded, perhaps even inspired off her

Thus, PMMMxOC AU, naturally centered around Mari being Homura's past self before she got hospitalized

Okay, so the main thing on this AU is that my favorite character, Homura, is Mari 2 years into her future (because Mari is turning 13 in January, and BSD is set in the summer, so she's still 12 and a half)

In this AU, she heard the bomb go off way back when Atsushi saved Kyouka* and assumed the worst immediately. In each version of this event, regardless of crossover or not, Mari does something drastic or reacts with a panic/anxiety attack, and in this case, she attempts to shoot herself in the chest out of conflicted feelings and improper emotional regulation due to her Ability subconsciously activating at perceived threats with the spike in her energy levels

Instead of dying, she goes into a coma, developing the frail heart Homura has in her own canon, which is misinterpreted as a disease by the teacher introducing her*

About 2 days into her coma Mori decided it wasn't safe for his emotionally unstable and codependent child to be in the Mafia, because case in point she's shot herself over a lower member's seemingly demise, so he legally* changed her name to Homura Akemi and sent her to a hospital in Mitakihara City, and the events in PMMM go on from there

Her Ability still exists, but due to the contract separating her soul from her body, Homura/Mari's Ability is no longer able to be used. Because it was infused into her Soul Gem, this is the cause of how she was able to not give into despair so easily. It was destroyed when she became a witch, for obvious reasons.

Due to time loops, Mari has forgotten many memories of Yokohama, including most of the Mafia and Agency. The only person she remembers clearly and in full details is Kyouka, because Madoka reminds her of that girl and Kyoko's name is similar. It adds to extra angst each time she relives all the deaths :>

*¹The canon this follows is that Mari and Kyouka, as official work partners in the Mafia, have earpieces for when one of them isn't on the mission, so instead of Akutagawa ordering Kyouka, Mari was relaying his orders to her via reading text messages

*²Since it's never stated what disease it is and seems to not be life threatening besides what seems to be severe Anemia, I decided to pull bullshit

Once again, I'm thinking about my old madoka magica gravity falls au thing where a down on his luck Stan (I imagine a month or 2 after getting kicked out) wishes for Ford to get into West Coast Tech. While Stan can see through a con, I feel like a 17 year old Stan would be easier to manipulate? Kyubey knows what pressure points to push on and goes on and on about his 'karmic destiny' and 'how his magic potential is very high' and he'd be an excellent magical boy and could easily wish for anything he wanted (which Stan scoffs at the silliness of the name).

As for the fighting aspect of it, I feel like there would be a part of Stan that's excited about the prospect of fighting witches. Whatever power he gets has to be kick ass.

So Stan thinks it's an alright deal, getting Ford into his dream school and in return, Stan fights monsters. Anything to make the impossible happen, right?

Let's just hope he doesn't find out what happens to magical girls/boys when their soul gems turn completely black.

I’m back on my bullshit y’all and by bullshit I mean mixing Puella Magi Madoka Magica with small Tumblr fandoms

And get this: Agent Phoenix who is a magical girl

- They still use they/them pronouns, they just happened to be afab and either Kyubye didn’t care or they only realized they’re non-binary some time after they contracted

- Their wish was something along the lines of: ‘Let me be able to live, no matter what!’ And they made it as they were dying from a terrorist attack

- Bc I’m such a tea sipper, the Agency happened to arrive at the scene and they were rescued by an agent not long after they made their contract, which may or may not have inspired them to become an agent

- With their wish, they’re able to see into the future. This is how they keep surviving. The deaths are just visions.

- They lost their family in the attack, so they have lived on their own for quite some time.

- They joined the Agency partly because of the memory of being rescued, a minor hero complex and because they know they can’t die, so might as well use it.

- They fight Witches between missions. Once a Witch was nearby just before they went on a mission, so they had to ask Handler if it could wait for a bit. He was hesitant but let them

- They keep everything from Handler and the Agency, because they don’t want to risk Zoraxis finding out and trying to take advantage of magical girls (and secretly, they don’t fully trust the Agency either)

- They do tell the Handler eventually though and he is pretty disturbed but supportive

- Their weapon is either a gun (boring) or explosives (cool but super ironic)

- Still the depiction of a smoking, alcoholic pyromaniac because what else would they be??? Competent??? (They are)

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR MADOKA MAGICA

- They are aware of the truth about Soul Gems

- The fact they made it into adulthood is actually a rarity, and made possible only because of their wish, determination and sheer luck.

- *Tosses Handler their Soul Gem* “Careful, you literally have my life in your hands” “What???”

- Eventually they can’t keep it up anymore and their Soul Gem darkens too much. My headcanon is that the longer a magical girl lives, the more powerful the Witch is. Phoenix’s witch could wipe out an entire city and they know it. And since they’ve grown attached to the Handler and don’t want to kill them along with the rest of the Agency, they ask him to shatter their Soul Gem.

- He doesn’t want to do it. Phoenix begs him. They are too tired/weak to do it themselves

- The fire must eventually be put out, or it will burn everything around it.

- He extinguishes it
