Okay. So I know I don't talk about actual drama stuff here that often. But an interview came out with the leader of the PMUA, which I'll link below.

So in this video, he talks about many controversies brought up against him, mostly regarding nsfw contents. But I think the most important thing to mention is

He admits that nobody at the PMUA never even talked to Vellmori?????????

And let's not forget he's trying to get legal funds to sue Project Moon on behalf of the artists for both Wonderlab and Leviathan for a copyright issue that doesn't actually exist because both people were contracted to make said works.

I can only hope people will finally realize through this video that the PMUA does not actually have the good intentions it claims to, and is just wanting to take advantage of people.

PMUA just collected donations for the truck protests and if you requested a refund they gave it. They didn’t want “full control” of the company, they wanted to meet with PM and discuss how to protect employees from things like the incel attack on vellmori.

when they later rebranded to KGCS they raised money to help the affected animator from Studio Ppuri, helped the studio with how they handled the issue and aided them by setting up those meetings open to the public where the studio could address concerns. I would think this is the type of thing they could have done with Project Moon. Again you (not just you but anyone making a post or video like this)need to watch where this information is coming from, there is a huge push from misogynists to mainstream this narrative of “greedy unions” going after PM for purely monetary concerns. Recently it looks like “foreign youtubers” are asking these guys on the typical incel messageboards for their “opinions” on the issue. (?)

sorry most of this is direct links to this blog bc it’s the easiest thing for me to search but I usually always post direct links. some other weird shit I’ve seen only coming from English speaking communities - they think the switch from PMUA to KGCS was for some grift, it was literally because they were expanding the scope of the issues they tackled. people think they scammed people out of money that was supposed to go to vellmori - this one is insane and I’m guessing also based on a game of telephone from someone who was not watching these events happen in real time and does not speak Korean. The first protest truck was not from the PMUA. This other group got donations, and when the money went over what was needed, they floated the idea of trying to get it to vellmori but ultimately they were unable to get in touch with her and gave the money to women’s organizations. KGCS will post what they’re fundraising for, I think it’s almost always legal fees for clients like the Studio Ppuri animator, they usually get the money quickly, close the donation box so any money after that is returned and then you are able to immediately request refunds if you want. I’m not their PR agent or anything so I can’t field questions for them lol but all of this is good work, especially their help with Ppuri. the fact that this has been twisted into some stereotypical ambulance chaser group and the labor union has been slandered as some greedy power hungry group to young and impressionable fans who will believe it because they see them on the “them” side on the “us (project moon fans) VS them” binary they’ve built in their heads is a bit scary

re: the KGCS raising money for vellmori thing, i think that's the result of a weird game of telephone. the first truck protest, which was *not* run by minsung, it was run by somebody else (he did participate, but from what he's told me, his involvement was essentially just going "hey the english messages on the protest truck are confusing, want me to help make them grammatically correct?"). this protest was from around 7/26-8/3, and stopped when PM's 8/3 message threatened to sue 1/2

Thank you so much for sending this detailed info!! seriously! this isn’t related to this post specifically but I’ll add it here. imo, in general the thing about going back and forth on this with people spreading misinformation (knowingly and unknowingly), slandering KGCS, etc. it’s not going to change anything about Project Moon’s actions. I don’t understand the apparent ramp up in this behavior as if doing this will exonerate PM. Even if KGCS was some scam group what would that change? Project Moon will still have mistreated their employees and engaged in feminist ideological verification. You can go back and forth fact checking and posting and responding, misinfo can be spread and repeated and sent but that major fact is never changing. this is why I don’t want to get super involved with the minutiae of this situation on this blog right now, I think what we all have here is pretty good for the time being, if there’s anything big relating to what I post here I’ll post it of course. I just want to be realistic with my schedule as well and not promise anything serious, so I’m not going to be able to get to everything. thanks everyone for your continued patience.

GCSK (formerly PMUA) statement regarding the Nexon/Maplestory incident. You can read or MTL it yourself, I’ll also post an MTL below. The translation doesn’t seem completely terrible but some things get garbled like pronouns- when it talks about the person getting fired it’s machine translated as “he” but it should be “she”, “Studio Roots” I believe should be Studio Ppuri, when it talks about the animator saying “subtlety feminize” or whatever it should be more along the lines of “engage in feminism more subtlety”, when it says “claw hands” that means 🤏. I’m posting it so there’s a basic understanding of what they’re saying, but since it’s machine translated I wouldn’t recommend referencing specific parts of it without checking with someone who actually understands the language first…
